ATHOL -- Team members at Suzor Electronics Service, Inc., located at 392 South Main St., joined together on Jan. 22 to share in the celebration of multiple awards. Sony previously awarded the team "Platinum Servicer" status, which means they can repair customer units even faster with free overnight shipping and provide an average repair time of three days. The National Electronics Warranty Group has now declared Suzor's as their premier servicer for in-home repairs in over 600 towns in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont. They support Lowe's, Best Buy, Home Depot, Walmart, BJ's, Costco, and help over two dozen other regional dealers with service.
Suzor Electronics Service has grown from two to 12 employees over the last four years. Their recent new service center has seen enormous support from the local people for carry-in electronics repairs. This support has made the hiring of two new shop technician positions possible.
The recent employee additions were introduced at their annual January meeting. The highlight of their day was to accept the LG Corporation's "Elite Servicer" award. The LG Corporation has taken the country by storm with high quality appliances, televisions, and other electronics.
Future plans for this local resource include participating with the North Quabbin Energy association. They hope to integrate their ability to recycle, repair, and reduce use into the area's comprehensive energy programs run by so many competent local people. Since the company works with end users of energy consuming products, it is a natural fit to be a responsible agent of the process. Repairing units helps to reduce global emissions and reduces consumption of raw materials. Unrepaired products are salvaged for parts, recycled through Electronicycle, metal is recycled, and now thanks to Mallet Rubbish Removal, cardboard will soon be recycled. The company is trained and highly experienced on all the latest new major appliances, televisions and computers. They are also expanding the computer repair department to help assist small businesses with their computer service demands. The team will be reaching out to local businesses to discover where needs are and help where they can.
Suzor Electronics has also been a supporter of AOTV and is hoping the local success will enable them to increase support for local events and charities.
